I've always loved cars, and got the idea for this series when I visited the owner of the two Buicks. His house/barn was filled with cars in many incarnations, and his love of all parts of the restoration and rebuilding process an inspiration. I also was fascinated with the story of the two Buicks and knew that the stories of "lost and found" cars would be at least as interesting as the paintings.
