Back to the 80s I positioned my neighbor's DeLorean at the Radnor Financial Center to give it a retro futuristic feel. This one was "after-market painted" red. My neighbor bought the car after losing a bet with his son about a term paper his boy had due. He said he'd buy the car if the kid finished the paper, but knew that it would be a miracle if he handed the paper in. His boy did, and he bought the DeLorean. About 8500 were made in all.
