Blobfest - 2005

This was my third year at Blobfest, the celebration at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville of the making of "The Blob," in which Steve McQueen appeared in his first starring role.

Phoenixville is an interesting and diverse town, and I decided to paint while selling the prints of my painting of the Colonial Theatre. The day was grey, hot and humid, and the only view not blocked by trees or the festivities was that of the tops of the three story buildings that line the street.

There was no sun, and therefore no shadow lines. The buildings also face north. The one interesting feature was the color scheme.
