First Snowfall
Acrylic on canvas

The Indiana Theatre, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
The Indiana Theater has a rich history in that it often previewed movies of its favorite son, Jimmy Stewart. His father is said to have stood outside the theater and greeted people as they entered to see one of “Jimmy’s” features. In the 1940s, the writer Edward Abbey would watch his favorite westerns there, and hang out at the Campus Grill next door. “First Snowfall” is painted as the theater is today, with homage to "Bedford Falls,” the fictional town in the Jimmy Stewart movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”.
