Field of Aspens
Acrylic on canvas – 9" x 12"

On a trail leading to the reservoir, my wife and I discovered a beautiful group of white aspens in direct morning sun. The sky was perfectly blue and the scene was vivid. By the time I completed the painting, the sun had traveled over the field, shadowing the right sides of the grove and burning my pallet dry.
