The Dairy Queen
Acrylic on canvas

Shortly after painting the Dairy Queen, the signage and roof were replaced with the more contemporary “barn-style” roof that is familiar today. This was 1971, and I used my father as a model for both the proprietor and the passerby. This Dairy Queen is still located on West Chester Pike in Upper Darby, not far from 69th Street.
